Hell On Wheels

For the past few weeks, I have thought more about cars than ever before.  Ever.  With the exception of the moving auto friendship between Lightning McQueen and Mater of course.

I've been test driving cars and reviewing them for a series I'm working on for Patch.

I'm only on week two of my test drives and I've said "crossover," "third row seating" and "hands free technology" about 1,500 times.

But it's fun.  Like a lot of fun.

I feel a bit like Cinderella.  Each week I get to go to the cool car ball and see how the other half lives.  Just when I start feeling pretty comfortable in my sweet ride, the clock strikes midnight (or noon) and my carriage turns back into a pumpkin giant van.

I really am having a blast and who knows what I will end up driving when the assignment ends.

Here's the latest installment:
Patch Drives: Honda Odyssey Proves Smart is the New Cool

I test drove a Honda Odyssey.  I sort of call Honda people boring, but I also call them smart.  I know I'm going to get some Honda people mad, but I'm just speaking my truth.

In the words of Stephanie from Grease 2, "No ordinary boy is going to do, I want a rider that's cool.  That's the way it's gotta be, that's the way that I feel."  Insert "car" for "boy" and you get what I'm looking for in a car.

Finding that cool rider that also seats six is quite a challenge.  Stay tuned!

Nothing is cooler than Stephanie, the great Michelle Pfeiffer of course, singing and dancing.  Okay there are a lot of things cooler, but my god I dare you to watch this and then do the "cool rider dance" in your kitchen.  "I need a c-o-o-l r-i-d-e-r!" Classic. That's all.

One of my ALL TIME favorite car scenes from a movie, which I quote probably at least once a year.  "You're going the wrong way!"  "How does he know where we're going?" I love John Candy.
That's all.

Here's last week's video/article about the Ford Flex:
