How You Like Me Now & What I Know For Sure & #iPPP

This week I said good-bye to my giant van that was duct taped together.  This week I said hello to my new ride.  You probably will never meet another person as happy as me to drive a new minivan.  Gone are the worries of suburban stigma or the fear of driving around in a vehicle that screams "I'm a mom."  Nope.  I don't care.  I am a mom.  I live in the suburbs.  And I drive a badass minivan. (Plus after you've driven a van that is slowly breaking apart each time you drive it, you appreciate a brand new vehicle.)

I'm rocking the new ride and making it my own with my pink fuzzy dice (much to the chagrin of my husband).

New cars and pink fuzzy dice are awesome, I know that for sure (this week and well, always).

Here's what else I know for sure (this week):

  • How You Like Me Now? by The Heavy is the bomb.  It is the song that is playing in my head when I drive around town now.  It's also been on my running play list for a long time.  Love it.

  • My new van is big news, so big I wrote about it in my local Patch.com.  Check out (click here) how I compare my old van to Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors song. Yup.

    • Running makes me sane (er).  I got back on the treadmill for the first time in weeks (Due to what was first thought to be a calf injury, but turned out to be a lazy butt muscle, um yeah, I'm in physical therapy twice a week for a fat ass. waaa.)  While it was hard to start all over again, it felt so good to run.  I felt more like myself, my head felt clearer.

    • I love watching my kids play together.  Especially when my daughter's alter ego Super Lucy is giving superhero tips to her baby brother.

    Super Lucy is fearless.

    • It's impossible to put Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn together and not have a funny movie, right?  This looks good.

    • I had a Twitter moment this week--I was retweeted by @Dallas_TNT during the show on Monday night.  Yup.  It's a major coup in my Twitter-loving, Dallas-loving world.  Woo-hoo for simple pleasures.  Come on over and play with me on Twitter @AngelaYBlood.

    • It was candy overload at my house yesterday.  My kids came home from their classroom parties with more candy than Halloween.  Bonus? They crashed hard from their sugar highs and were all asleep by 8 p.m.

The kids after school displaying all their loot.

What do you know for sure (this week)? C'mon, we're friends, share what you know.  Leave a comment here or on the Facebook page.

    1. My kids didn't get all that much candy yesterday! I was shocked. They did get some, of course.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW RIDE!!! I don't know why they didn't give you one when you test drove all of those before. Sheesh. :D That's a great song for you, too. And I love the pictures! YAY!!

Also, yay on the tweet-out you got! You're famous!
