One Word-Apache, And Other Stuff I Know For Sure

One thing I know for sure is, it's a dancing kind of week around here.

Yesterday my morning began with a little soft shoe to "Good Morning" straight from the Singing In the Rain soundtrack.

(One of my ALL TIME favorite movies.  Gene Kelly, sigh.)

Only one of my children raised their eyebrows while they ate their waffles with me lip synching  "good morning to you and you and you."  Good stuff.

Oh it got better.
One word- Apache.

I promise you, if you dance to that song(Apache by The Sugar Hill Gang) and be as goofy as possible, you will be happy for the rest of the day.

It worked for my kids. Nothing better than a little Sugar Hill Gang to get the kids moving in the morning. (I have video but my oldest requested it not be up for public viewing.)

Instead here's a clip of dances from the fearless Will Smith in Fresh Prince of Bel Air.  Awww I kinda miss the old Will Smith.

(This isn't the exact clip I wanted to show you, but it works, he has some awesome moves and a sort of good remix of Apache.)

Here are a few other things I know for sure, right now:
  • Wine can make you fat.  If you drink a lot, every night. How do I know? I Googled "Can wine make you fat, if you drink a lot, every night?"
  • You are officially old (er) when you unabashadly rave on about what a wonder drug Imodium AD is.  Yes, the AD stands for anti-diarrheal.
  • I am late to the game on this one, but shellac nail polish is the bomb.  I had my first manicure in 8 years recently and that shit really does stay on for two weeks.  Amazing.
  • I watch March Madness basketball now as such a mom.  I am heartbroken for the losing team's moms.  I know their heartbreak as they watch their kid's team go down and they think about all the hard work and sacrifice (for the whole family) it took to get that kid to that spot at that time.
  • Twitter is still my best friend.  But I'm starting to rekindle my passion for Facebook too. If you want, you can follow me @AngelaYBlood or like my FB page by clicking here and liking it.
  • Even though this social media thang is marvelous, real people are where it's at.  Staying connected and meeting friends for breakfast and lunch the past couple weeks has made my happiness level go way up.
  • The new Ragu commercials are fuuuunny.
